The Baltic sea is dying
Swedish forests are the most dominant habitat type, covering about 70% of the country. They are incredibly valuable for both our culture and our survival. We extract a variety of raw materials from our forests, and they are our largest source of clean water.
There is a large proportion of protected forest in Sweden, but it is not enough. Species-rich forests are rapidly disappearing and biodiversity is at great risk of being destroyed. We need to save our forests and think about how we protect forests close to urban areas.
